Return to the “new” normal

Over the last 3 months, like many people businesses, RSB has been forced to adapt many of the services it offers to accommodate the various restrictions placed on our community by COVID-19.

As of this week, with the lifting of some of these restrictions the following changes have been put in place, some of which may impact clients of the RSB.

  • Knapman House is again now open for business, however, to best support your needs and assist with social distancing please contact Customer First on 1300 944 306 to make an appointment.
  • RSB Smithfield and Noarlunga will continue to operate on an appointment only basis, neither of these offices will provide walk in sales for low vision products. These products are available from Knapman House.
  • RSB Employment Programs including YES and MJP are all operating to strict government guidelines based on very limited face to face appointments, this includes clients wanting to access the Kiosk Services. To make an appointment call 1300 944 306 or contact your consultant.
  • RSB will continue to support regional South Australia through telehealth, home and workplace visits based on RSB staff visiting regional areas based on demand, our Port Augusta and Victor Harbor offices will not be reopening.
  • RSB is continuing to review the return of the Groups Program, groups are commencing on a group by group basis based on demand and available resources to support each group – members of RSB groups are being contacted by our Health and Wellness team as their group becomes available.
  • The RSB pool at Gilles Plains, will remain closed. The forced closure during the restrictions has also revealed a significant number of maintenance issues that need to be addressed if we are to again safely and appropriately open and manage these facilities.

The team at the RSB hopes that you and your families have all remained safe and well during this extraordinary period in which many things we have done for many years have been significantly challenged. This includes the operations of the RSB in terms of how it can continue to meet the needs of you our clients, and our team.

Please be assured that we here at the RSB remain completely committed to you, and the community that we live in, and we trust that you all stay safe and stay with us as we continue to work through the changes imposed upon society by the coronavirus.

Thanks very much for your understanding and support, and if you do have any questions over the changes to the service model now being put in place, and how they may impact you, please call us on 1300 944 306.
