ENSURE YOUR VOTE COUNTS – SA STATE ELECTION 2022

The 2022 State Election is due to be held this Saturday, 19th March. RSB has been working with the SA Electoral Commission to ensure you have access to all of the inclusive and accessible resources needed for voting.

PRINT ALTERNATIVES

To access braille or audio versions of the voting guide,  please phone the SA Electoral Commission on 1300 655 232. These are available at selected libraries across the state.

ALTERNATIVES TO VOTING ON ELECTION DAY

Postal voting is available to all people living with a disability. To access the postal voting guide, please phone 1300 655 232 or visit: ecsa.sa.gov.au

Early voting will be in place from Monday 7th March in many locations across metropolitan and regional areas across the state. For a full list of sites and eligibility information, please phone 1300 655 232 or visit: ecsa.sa.gov.au

All early voting centres will all have magnifiers on-site.

VOTING IN-PERSON

For people voting in-person on election day or at an early voting centre, some changes have been made to support people to vote more independently. Resources available at all voting centres include:

  • Pencil grips
  • Mini magnifier sheets
  • Multilingual Guide
  • Improved directional signage
  • How to vote guides in 22 translated languages

COVID SAFE VOTING

COVID-safe measures will be in place at all voting sites. People are encouraged to bring their own pencil; single use pencils will also be available.

If you are COVID-positive, a close contact or have COVID symptoms between Thursday, 17 March and election day on Saturday, 19 March, you are eligible to register for a voting pack (to be collected at a PCR or RAT collection site). These sites are listed on the website at ecsa.sa.gov.au
