Learn to surf with professional blind surfer Derek Rabelo and Surf Culture Australia

The RSB is proud to be partnering with Surf Culture Australia and Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club to offer a special introduction to surfing event along with Global Ambassador and professional blind surfer - Derek Rabelo.


Surf Culture Australia is SA's original Surf School and their sessions provide a great introduction to surfing as children can learn in a safe and fun environment.

Derek will share his surfing tips and experiences and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn alongside the international sporting superstar!

Hear how Derek has overcome challenges that he has faced to become one of the most celebrated surfers in the world alongside Mick Fanning and Kelly Slater, even conquering the famous Pipeline in Hawaii.

Where: Glenelg Foreshore out the front of the Surf Life Saving Club
Time: 9:30-11am

Surfboards and wetsuits provided.

The session will also cover important water safety, access and coastal education information as well as information on health and wellbeing - how to stay fit and positive!

This is great opportunity for children to enjoy an active learning experience, meet and learn with Derek Rabelo and meet some new friends!

Beach mats will be on site to support with accessibility as required.
