Bequest

A bequest is a special gift that you can leave for someone or for an organisation through your Will.  It is a wonderful way for you to make a positive difference to someone’s life beyond your lifetime.

By leaving a gift to the RSB, you will be helping improve the quality of life for South Australians who are blind or vision impaired.

Your gift will help fund the RSB’s range of free services, including the RSB Guide Dog Service, the Low Vision and Adaptive Technology Centres, Employment Services, Mobility Services, Braille Training, Counselling, support groups and so much more.

If you already have a Will, it is very important to keep it up to date.  Changes in your personal circumstances may require you to amend your Will.

The wording of your Will needs to be very clear and precise.  It’s recommended you consult a Solicitor or Trustee company so that your Will is not open to misinterpretation and truly reflects your wishes.

If you have already made a Will and would like to now leave a gift to the RSB, simply contact your solicitor to add a Codicil to your Will, which will ensure you wishes are fulfilled.

If you would like to know more about how you can leave a bequest to the RSB in your Will, please contact Judy at the RSB on (08) 8417 5555 for a confidential discussion. Judy is also happy to discuss in the privacy of your home if this is your preference. Alternatively please email donorrelations@rsb.org.au.
