Become an RSB Puppy Sponsor

RSB Guide Dogs need you

RSB Puppy Sponsors help the RSB Guide Dog Puppies grow up to become trained RSB Guide Dogs.

It costs more than $25,000 to breed, raise and train each RSB Guide Dog, which is why these puppies need your help.

For as little as 83 cents a day, you can help provide them with such essentials as vet care, puppy food, training, heartworm/flea preventative treatments, collars, leads, coats and harness.

RSB Guide Dogs would in-turn be able to learn to work with a person who is blind or vision impaired.

How does it work?

For $25 a month, you can sponsor the RSB Guide Dog puppies and help them become trained RSB Guide Dogs. Your monthly support along with other Puppy Sponsors will help cover the costs of the RSB Guide Dog Service. There is no government support for training RSB Guide Dogs, so your support is vital.

To keep you in the loop, we will send you a photo of our puppies, updates during the year and the opportunity to visit our puppies in Adelaide.

How does a puppy become an RSB Guide Dog?

Each RSB Guide Dog puppy goes through a training pathway. If they pass
all the stages of training, they become a qualified RSB Guide Dog.

What does an RSB Guide Dog learn?

  • How to move freely along a path of travel to avoid bumping into things
  • How to avoid overhead obstacles such as low branches
  • How to safely negotiate road crossings
  • How to obey a wide range of commands

RSB Guide Dogs are vital in helping a person who is blind or vision impaired  travel safely and independently.
