Counselling
Goal of Service
Counselling can assist people who have lost their vision to accept and adjust to their vision loss. It can also assist the understanding and awareness of the families of people who have experienced vision loss.
Services Provided
The RSB has a team of specially trained Counsellors, who assist individual clients to accept and adjust to their vision loss. Counselling is also available to the families of people who have experienced vision loss, to provide them with an awareness and understanding of the functional and emotional impact of that person's vision loss.
Location
Counselling is an outreach service that is delivered in the person’s own home, or other preferred location. This service is available in both the Metropolitan and Regional areas of South Australia.
Eligibility
Counselling is available to all RSB clients. To be eligible to become an RSB client, a person must be diagnosed by an eye care professional as being legally blind, or likely to become legally blind.
