Child and Youth Services

The RSB provides a range of services for babies, young children and teenagers 0-18 years old to assist in their physical and psychological development. The RSB take a family-centred approach which supports the functional outcomes of the child.

Services Provided

The services provided will be dependent upon an individual’s needs and may range from a vision assessment, advice and information on low vision and adaptive technology equipment or recreation and leisure opportunities as well as skills development for further independence.

Location

The Child and Youth Services Coordinator is located at Knapman House 230 Pirie Street Adelaide SA 5000. However, all eight RSB offices can assist with enquiries. Please call 8232 4777 or 1800 675 554.

Eligibility

Child and Youth Services are available to RSB clients from 0 – 18 years old. To be eligible to become an RSB client, a person must be diagnosed by an eye care professional as being legally blind, or likely to become legally blind.
