Extreme Weather Book

New weather book, all proceeds to the RSB

Heat waves, snowstorms, floods, droughts, tornadoes, rain and hail. South Australia’s weather brings everything from idyllic snow to destructive bushfires and death. How do people cope? Sixteen human stories, some never told before, put you there at the time.

The RSB is proud to announce the release of the new book ‘South Australia’s Extreme Weather: Its human Impact’.

Produced by The Australian Meteorological Association Inc and the Bureau of Meteorology, this book is about people and exceptional weather, how they cope, how they survive, and sadly, how they sometimes fail to survive.

An ideal gift for the avid reader in your life, this book can be purchased from the RSB by calling 8223 6222 or by visiting the following RSB offices:
254 Angas Street, Adelaide
230 Pirie Street, Adelaide
11 Blacks Road, Gilles Plains

Each book costs $29.95 and can be posted (for $10 each) if required.

The RSB would like to thank the author, Tony Rogers, The Australian Meteorological Association Inc and the Bureau of Meteorology for donating all proceeds to the RSB.
