Ludo is a game for two, three or four players. This wooden board game version incorporates a shape and colour system that enables this game to be played by vision impaired people. The board consists of four coloured areas - red, green, blue and yellow within black outlines on a white background. The play area has a large cross shape, where the players move around with the coloured pegs from the 'start' to the 'home' position.
Snakes and Ladders
This is a very popular board game. The boards consists of 100 squares
in the colours pink and white with green snakes and black ladders. The playing pegs are different colours and shapes.
Chess
Chess is a high quality board game that is made out of wood which consists of dark raised squares. The design of the holes in each square allows the pieces to fit firmly into the board. The chess pieces that are included are The King & Queen, Knights, Rooks, Bishops and Pawns. The black & white pieces can be distinguished from the different points on the top.
Draughts
Draughts is a strategy game for 2 players. Each player starts the game with 12 counters (black or white) which are placed on raised textured squares either end of the board. The object of the game is to capture all of the opponent's counters. The white coloured squares are sunken so they can be distinguished from the black squares.
Dominoes
The board turns into a fold away case with the pieces fitting inside.
Swish Ball and Bat
Used for the game of Swish which is similar to table tennis and is played by both sighted and vision impaired players. It is a fast, invigorating game that can be played as singles (2 players) or doubles (four players).
