In the base of the Navigator there is a USB port which enables it to be connected to a computer for book downloads and recharging, and to mains power for recharging.

The first button from the base of the Navigator is the Power button. To switch the navigator on or off the Power button is held down for 2 seconds. Holding down the power button for less than two seconds will pause or resume the book playback.

The first pair of buttons, above the Power button, are the Previous book button on the left and the Next book button on the right.

The next pair of buttons are the Previous chapter, on the left, and the Next chapter button on the right.

The next pair of buttons are the Previous section, on the left, and the Next section button on the right.

The two top buttons are volume down, on the left and volume up on the right.

The rounded end of the Navigator houses the built in speaker. Clients can listen to the Navigator by holding it to their ear like a phone.

On the left of the speaker there is a headphone jack. When the headphones are plugged in the built in speaker is automatically switched off.

On the left hand side of the navigator there is a keypad lock switch which can be activated so that none of the buttons are accidentally pressed.
