Australian Hotels Association donates books to vision impaired children

The Australian Hotels Association (SA Branch) has given a huge boost to the RSB's Books in the Sky (BiTS) Children's Service. With thanks to their generous donation, the RSB will be able to purchase an extensive range of desperately needed children's titles for the BiTS Children's Service library.

“Hotels have a long tradition of supporting the community and our support of the RSB is another example of this,” said AHA (SA) Manager – Public Affairs Hamish Arthur. “Through the assistance of the Independent Gaming Corporation, we are delighted to be able to provide this level of assistance.”

Children who are severly vision impaired across South Australia will also be delighted at the opportunity to soon download more best selling titles onto their Audio Navigators, with several children saying they often 'read' up to four or five books a week. The AHA's gift will not only bring enjoyment to these children, but greatly enhance their literacy and learning. As the RSB's motto says: Together, just see what we can do.
