Attention all commuters! Please mind the dogs on platform 5! 🚉

Check out Goldie, Huxley, and Bob applying their training skills at the Adelaide Railway Station, alongside their dedicated volunteers. From boarding and disembarking trains to navigating platforms and seating, our furry trainees were put through their paces at this unique training session.

As future guide and assistance dogs, these dogs will accompany their handlers on public transport, and this training will ensure they're confident and comfortable on the move. Exposing our dogs early on to buses and trains familiarizes them with the different movement, sounds, smells and more. The team at Keolis Downer always support our training and are leaders in ensuring their own teams have the best possible accessibility training too.

Think you could help train a future guide or assistance dog? Join our fantastic volunteer program and help make a difference for people with low vision, veterans with PTSD, and Autistic children. Learn more here >> bit.ly/3hmWCky

When Puppies Meet AFL Stars 🌟

We had a fantastic time welcoming Brooke Tonon, Caitlin Gould, and Najwa Allen from the Adelaide Crows AFLW team to our Gilles Plains campus on Wednesday.

The players had a fantastic time meeting our guide and assistance dog team, not to mention showering our pups and dogs in training with cuddles! The day's highlights included a guided tour led by our trainee guide dogs and trainers, plus an incredible demo by our OPK9 instructor, Daniel, and assistance dog, Francois. They showed off the top-notch training techniques that our assistance dogs master to support veterans with PTSD.

The Adelaide Crows AFLW team has committed to 100 community impact moments this year. These are 100 volunteer opportunities in which players give back to their community in their own time. We are proud to be a part of their impact!
